Rotating Equipment Engineer

Our client is seeking a specialized Rotating Equipment Engineer for their industrial facilities in Polokwane. This role adopts a hybrid work model, combining essential on-site operations with remote analysis and reporting. You will be responsible for the specification, selection, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical rotating machinery such as pumps, turbines, compressors, and motors. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of complex industrial processes.

• Specify, select, and procure rotating equipment based on process requirements and performance criteria.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for rotating machinery.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of new rotating equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Perform vibration analysis, performance testing, and other diagnostic activities to ensure optimal equipment health.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams and operations personnel.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience specifically with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors).
• In-depth knowledge of equipment design principles, failure modes, and maintenance best practices.
• Experience with vibration analysis techniques and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
