Power Systems Analyst - Network Planning

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Power Systems Analyst to focus on network planning for their operations in the Polokwane area. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the electricity grid as new energy sources are integrated. You will conduct sophisticated modeling and simulations to forecast load growth, assess grid capacity, and plan for necessary infrastructure upgrades.

• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, and stability analyses to assess grid performance and capacity.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems analysis and network planning .
• Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, Power Factory).
• Solid understanding of grid operations, protection principles, and power market dynamics.
