Transportation Engineer - Traffic and Road Design

Our client is seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to join their progressive team in Polokwane. This role is central to the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure, including roads, highways, and traffic management systems. You will work on projects that enhance mobility and safety within the region, collaborating with planning authorities and construction teams. The position utilizes a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility while ensuring essential on-site coordination and site visits.

• Design and plan road networks, intersections, and interchanges, considering traffic flow and safety.
• Conduct traffic impact studies, capacity analyses, and simulations using specialized software.
• Develop geometric design plans, pavement designs, and traffic control measures.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other project stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for transportation projects.
• Ensure compliance with national and provincial transportation standards and guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on transportation.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering and road design.
