Field Service Engineer - Industrial Automation

Our client is seeking a proficient Field Service Engineer specializing in Industrial Automation to join their dedicated team in Polokwane . This role involves traveling to client sites to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain automated systems and machinery. You will work closely with clients to ensure their operational needs are met, providing expert technical support and solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of automation technologies and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in the industrial sector of Limpopo.

• Install, configure, and commission industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for equipment malfunctions.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Conduct training sessions for client personnel on system operation and basic maintenance.
• Document all service activities, including reports, parts usage, and client feedback.

• Engineering qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation field service.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
• Proficiency with electrical schematics, control systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently at client locations.
