Project Manager - IT and Software Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead their IT and Software Development projects in Polokwane . This role involves managing the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and execution to deployment and maintenance. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent project management capabilities.

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Coordinate with development teams, QA, and operations to ensure timely and successful product releases.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and promote best practices within the development teams.
• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring proactive mitigation.
• Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders effectively.

• 5+ years of experience in project management , specifically within IT and software development environments.
• Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum development projects.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
