About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert guidance and strategic support to their operations in Polokwane. This is a contract role focused on assessing and enhancing the organization’s security posture. You will work closely with various business units to identify risks, develop robust security strategies, and advise on best practices. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a broad understanding of cybersecurity domains, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to deliver clear, concise recommendations.

You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our client’s defenses and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including risk analysis, vulnerability evaluations, and compliance audits.
• Develop strategic security roadmaps and implementation plans tailored to the client’s business needs.
• Advise on security architecture, technology selection, and best practices for protecting information assets.
• Assist in the development and review of information security policies and procedures.
• Provide expert guidance on incident response planning and disaster recovery strategies.
• Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to stakeholders on security findings and recommendations.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or equivalent experience are valuable.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in information security, with a significant portion in consulting or advisory roles.
• Proven expertise in risk management, security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security challenges.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
