E-commerce Platform Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and technically proficient E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee and enhance their online retail infrastructure in Polokwane . This role is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and evolution of the e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and high-performing online shopping experience. You will work closely with development teams, marketing, and operations to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and drive platform performance.

This hybrid position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user experience to maximize online sales and customer satisfaction. It's a crucial role for maintaining and advancing the digital storefront.

• Manage the full lifecycle of the e-commerce platform, including development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Oversee platform upgrades, feature implementations, and integrations with other systems (e.g., CRM, ERP).
• Monitor platform performance, uptime, and security, implementing solutions to address any issues.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to optimize the customer journey and conversion rates.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend platform enhancements.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience with A/B testing, analytics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
• Excellent project management and communication skills, comfortable in a hybrid work setting.
