Senior IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior IT Project Manager to lead strategic technology initiatives within their Polokwane operations. This role requires extensive experience in managing large-scale IT projects, complex system implementations, and infrastructure upgrades. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives. This is a critical role demanding strong leadership and a deep understanding of IT project life cycles.

• Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication strategies.
• Oversee project teams, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to define project requirements and ensure alignment.
• Implement and refine project management methodologies to optimize delivery processes.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Project Management, with a significant focus on large-scale enterprise projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration projects.
• Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing budgets and resources for complex technology initiatives.
• PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
