About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of technology initiatives in Polokwane . This role demands a strong blend of technical understanding and project management expertise, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT projects from conception through to deployment. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, systems administrators, and business stakeholders, to ensure projects meet technical specifications, business objectives, and timelines.
This is a crucial role for driving technological advancement and ensuring seamless IT operations within the organization.
- Manage the planning, execution, and successful completion of diverse IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans.
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams, vendors, and stakeholders, providing regular status updates.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security policies, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects, including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycles, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
