Senior Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in IT infrastructure to join their dynamic team in Polokwane . You will be responsible for leading critical IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, system implementations, and data center consolidations. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing complex technical projects, coordinating with internal IT teams and external vendors, and ensuring the successful delivery of robust and scalable IT solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure components and a proven ability to manage projects that enhance organizational efficiency and security.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers to achieve project objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT infrastructure projects.
• Ensure that all projects comply with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders and senior management regularly.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with a strong focus on IT infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing projects related to network infrastructure, server deployments, cloud migration, and data center operations.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
• A relevant degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, coupled with a PMP or ITIL certification, is essential.
