Our client is looking for a dedicated and technically adept IT Support Specialist to focus on their telecommunications network infrastructure in Polokwane . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of internal IT systems and providing technical assistance related to network performance. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, supporting end-users, and contributing to system maintenance and upgrades.
The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses strong analytical skills, and thrives in a hybrid work environment that balances remote flexibility with on-site support needs.
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to end-users regarding IT and telecom network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and network devices.
- Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary adjustments.
- Document IT support procedures and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
- Assist with the implementation of new IT and telecommunications systems and upgrades.
- Proven experience in IT support, with a strong emphasis on network environments.
- Solid understanding of operating systems, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and common software applications.
- Experience with troubleshooting network connectivity and hardware issues.
- Familiarity with telecommunications systems is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities in Polokwane .
