Our client, a leading technology solutions provider based in Polokwane , is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their expanding team. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automation, efficiency, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
You will play a key role in streamlining development workflows, enhancing system performance, and ensuring the scalability and security of our client's cloud environments. - Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage and automate cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.
- Develop and maintain scripting for automation tasks (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Ensure system security, implement security best practices, and manage vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system reliability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and processes.
- Stay current with emerging Dev Ops trends and technologies.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or related roles.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, CircleCI).
- Strong proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, CKAD) are a plus.
