About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and diligent Sanitation Supervisor to lead their cleaning and sanitation team in Polokwane . This pivotal role involves overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety are met across all company facilities. You will be responsible for managing a team of cleaning staff, coordinating schedules, and implementing effective sanitation strategies. This leadership position is crucial for maintaining a pristine and compliant environment, directly impacting the health and well-being of employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the sanitation team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive cleaning and sanitation protocols and schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed and ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Train new staff members on sanitation procedures, safety guidelines, and the proper use of equipment.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply usage, reporting to management regularly.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within sanitation or cleaning services .
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation techniques , and health and safety standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to conduct inspections and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
