About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Chemical Plant Operator to join their production team in Polokwane . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment to ensure efficient and safe production. You will perform routine checks, adjustments, and basic maintenance, adhering strictly to operational procedures and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate is attentive to detail, possesses a strong work ethic, and is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, contributing to the operational success of the plant in Limpopo province.

• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform routine checks on equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal process conditions and product quality.
• Respond to alarms and process upsets, taking appropriate action to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Previous experience as a plant operator, preferably in a chemical or industrial setting.
• Understanding of basic chemical processes and plant safety procedures .
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and operating manuals.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to a strong safety culture and teamwork in Polokwane .
