Our client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Industrial Engineer to join their production facility in Polokwane . This role is vital for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and safety. You will be responsible for analyzing production lines, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that drive efficiency and reduce waste. This is a hands‑on position within a key manufacturing operation, offering a great opportunity for an engineer passionate about driving operational improvements on the factory floor and contributing to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Design and implement new production layouts and workflows to optimize material and personnel movement.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes.
- Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping).
- Work with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions on the shop floor.
- Manage projects related to new equipment installation, process changes, and capacity expansions.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering within a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software for layout design and process flow charting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production setting.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
