About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly efficient and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their FMCG production facilities in Polokwane . This critical role ensures the smooth, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality products. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, optimizing processes, leading the production team, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This is a significant leadership opportunity within a growing FMCG company , contributing directly to operational excellence from our Polokwane base.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of FMCG production operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution to meet demand and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor the production team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability.
- Implement and monitor lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage the production budget, controlling costs and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in FMCG manufacturing .
- Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain principles.
- Experience managing budgets and P&L for a production facility.
