HSE Advisor - Oil & Gas Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive HSE Advisor to join their operational team in Polokwane . This role is essential for promoting and ensuring a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture across all site activities. You will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting site inspections, providing safety training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within the oil & gas sector.

Your contribution will be vital in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel in the Polokwane operations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE management systems and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Investigate HSE incidents, near misses, and accidents, recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture and provide guidance on HSE best practices to site personnel.

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an HSE professional, preferably in the oil & gas industry .
• Knowledge of relevant South African HSE legislation and standards.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
