About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team in Polokwane . This role is essential for ensuring that all manufactured chemical products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, analyzing product data, and working closely with production teams to resolve any quality-related issues.
The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of analytical techniques, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of product integrity and consistency in the chemical manufacturing process.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for chemical production processes.
- Conduct routine testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Investigate quality deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and regulatory affairs departments on quality-related matters.
- Maintain accurate quality records and prepare regular quality performance reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography) and laboratory instrumentation .
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., GMP, ISO).
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC).
