Senior Bioanalytical Scientist - Pharma

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Bioanalytical Scientist to join their advanced analytical services department in Polokwane . This role is crucial for developing and validating robust bioanalytical methods to support preclinical and clinical drug development programs. You will leverage your expertise in analytical techniques to quantify drug substances and metabolites in biological matrices, ensuring the generation of high-quality data for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong scientific background, extensive experience with various analytical platforms, and a commitment to scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.

• Develop, optimize, and validate bioanalytical methods for the quantification of small molecules and biologics in biological matrices (e.g., plasma, serum, urine).
• Perform routine sample analysis using validated methods on instruments such as LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and ELISA.
• Interpret complex analytical data, troubleshoot method and instrument issues, and ensure data integrity.
• Author method validation reports, study protocols, and analytical data summaries in accordance with GLP and regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new analytical technologies and instrumentation.
• Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance on bioanalytical studies.

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in bioanalytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
• Proficiency with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and data acquisition/analysis software.
• Strong understanding of GLP regulations and their application to bioanalytical testing.
• Experience with various biological matrices and sample preparation techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail in experimental execution and data reporting.
