Group Functions
Provide dedicated provincial‑level security services to ensure physical protection of people and assets across the organization’s points of representation and strategic installations. Assist in directing provincial security programs and protocols, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Qualifications- Degree in Business Commerce, Security Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of demonstrated experience within a physical security environment. Knowledge of the banking industry is an advantage.
- Monitor and manage physical security service providers across different commodities to ensure contract and SLA compliance.
- Promote general security awareness and vigilance through coaching and presentations to senior leaders and staff.
- Engage provincial leaders to translate business needs into technical physical security requirements and support RFI processes.
- Lead and drive implementation of retail and physical security projects to ensure standardisation across South Africa.
- Implement security technologies to meet the organisation’s minimum‑security standards and support digitisation aspirations.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners and provincial leaders to foster cooperation and alignment.
- Lead incident management processes, respond to incidents, and execute appropriate resolution actions.
- Conduct post‑mortem incident reporting and provide lessons learned to stakeholders.
- Advise on policy, specification and standard amendments to reduce risks and incident severity.
- Conduct branch and ATM physical security assessments and develop mitigation actions.
- Manage all physical security projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget implementation and final sign‑off.
- Maintain asset register and provide guard and staff awareness sessions during assessments.
