Family Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a dedicated Family Support Specialist to assist families in strengthening their capacity to provide a nurturing and stable environment. This role involves a hybrid approach, combining remote consultations with essential in-person home visits within the Polokwane region. You will work closely with families facing various challenges, offering guidance, resources, and emotional support to promote positive family dynamics and child well-being.

This is a critical position contributing to community resilience and family cohesion in Limpopo .

• Conduct initial assessments of family needs and strengths through remote and in-person methods.
• Develop individualized family support plans addressing identified goals.
• Provide counseling, education, and practical assistance to families.
• Facilitate access to community resources such as parenting classes, childcare, and financial aid.
• Conduct home visits to monitor progress and provide direct support.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential case notes and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in family support, counseling, or case management.
• Strong understanding of child development, family systems, and crisis intervention.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse families.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote communication and record-keeping.
