Senior Software Quality Assurance; QA) Engineer

Our client, a forward-thinking software development house located in Polokwane, Limpopo , is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer . This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products. You will lead QA efforts, develop comprehensive test strategies, and mentor junior QA team members. • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance and support.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on product quality and defect trends.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
• Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Load Runner).
• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
