Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Our client is looking for a reliable and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of goods in and out of their facility in Polokwane. This position is critical for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and correctly. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming goods, and maintaining a tidy and safe receiving area.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses good communication skills, and can handle the physical demands of the role.

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods using the company's inventory system.
• Organize and maintain the receiving and shipping areas to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.

• Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving packages.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
