Food and Nutrition Services Manager

Job Summary

Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Dietary Services Manager that has a passion for food and nutrition and providing a great dining experience for our residents.

• Manages dietary policies and processes with the assistance of the Dietitian.
• Represents the dietary department at staff meetings and communicates pertinent information to staff.
• Performs compliance verification at both State and Federal levels for long‑term care participation.
• Adapts menu cycle to individual and Center preferences in collaboration with the Dietitian.
• Supervises procurement, ordering, receiving, and storage of food.
• Supervises food preparation and service, including direct participation as needed.
• Ensures all standards and requirements are met with regard to Sanitation and Cleaning, Food Service, Ordering and Storage of Food and Sanitation Supplies, Dietary Staff Hygiene, Equipment Maintenance and Upkeep, and other food service standards.
• Cooperates with Center and Divisional leadership.
• Directly communicates with Center residents to obtain preferences and recommendations.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a food service supervision course meeting Dietary Managers Association standards, or a comparable program with at least 90 hours of classroom instruction and on‑the‑job supervision by a dietitian.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, reaching, and stooping.
