Description

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Echocardiology, the Senior Echocardiology Technologist performs Echo cardiographic procedures, assists physicians as required and does related work as assigned. The Senior Echocardiology Technologist also precepts echo students and is responsible for orienting new staff to the Echo department.

Required Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiology and demonstrate ability to complete competency in Echocardiography.
• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 3 years experience as clinical technologist, or two (2) years as a registered technologist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional formal training and competency in Echocardiography.
