American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring compact licensure and multi-specialty surgical experience.

• Work in a 2 room Operating Room with specialties including OBGYN, Ortho, GI/GS, ENT, Pain, and Dental
• Covers all surgery department areas including Pre/Post Op, Circulating, PACU, and Endo
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts with possible 4x10 hour schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 depending on area
• Floating required between units
• On-call required with variable call on weekends and nights, approximately 8 shifts per month
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd or 4th weekend depending on schedule and time off requests
• Epic EMR used and required

• Active RN license, Montana state or compact license required in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with gynecologic, general surgery, orthopedic, ENT, dental, and endoscopic procedures preferred
• Experience with equipment such as electrosurgical units, Hana Table, and Steris preferred
• C-section experience is a hard requirement

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties and support areas
• May float between sister facilities within the region
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates are accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3 month break, provided they live outside the 50 mile radius
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to starting the assignment
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required, which may include Charge RNs or Leads
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
