Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.
Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $70,000.00 Annually
Maximum: $90,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
The position plays a critical role in the training of veterinary students by providing expertise in clinical specialties, contributing to clinical science lectures and laboratories, problem‑based learning facilitation, and curriculum development. The role also involves engaging in scholarly activities, advancing clinical sciences, and supporting the training of students across all levels of the DVM program. Additionally, the position requires active participation in college and university committees, as well as contributing to institutional governance and curriculum innovation.
If applicable, maintaining a California veterinary license and any relevant specialty certifications is also expected.

Required Qualifications
Education:
- An advanced degree (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (i.e., DVM, VMD), PhD, or equivalent degree) in the discipline of expertise is required.
Licensure (if applicable):
- Actively licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Veterinarian in the state of California preferred. Current Veterinary specialty board certification preferred.
Experience:
