Responsibilities- Performs inspections and evaluations of existing conditions for various electrical equipment and systems for proper installation, problem identification/troubleshooting, and overall improvements.
- Ensures system event assessments and RCA are performed for equipment failures and implements corrective actions, confirming proper mitigation plans are in place.
- Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and design plans related to projects and analysis of increasing scope and complexity.
- Conducts independent engineering work, receiving guidance on the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Performs power system modeling and analyses utilizing software tools and applications; stays informed of technology advancements, market trends, and relevant guidelines and standards related to energy technology.
- Ensures the performance of day‑to‑day preventive maintenance activities to maintain equipment and ensure continued operation according to required standards including Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) quality and environmental and reliability standards.
- Helps ensure infrastructures supporting processes are validated/qualified throughout their life cycle.
- Develops the engineering facility design, including but not limited to electrical system design, such as sizing, creating one‑line diagrams, and selecting equipment.
- Assists in the development of new technology and standards strategy and the implementation of strategies into business operations to improve power system functionality and quality of service to customers.
- Act as project sponsors with some technical assistance when responding to technical questions requiring project modification to move projects through their lifecycle.
- Ensures the protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets and properly accesses and manages private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field.
- Two or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
- Foundational knowledge of power systems, statistics, forecasting, or data analytics, with the ability to apply these concepts to load‑forecasting and system data evaluation.
- Experience using Python, SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools to manage large datasets, automate processes, and support forecasting workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with forecasting models, statistical analyses, or scenario‑based studies, along with strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills to identify data issues and improvement opportunities.
