Position: Temporary Finance Manager (Law Firm Experience Required)

Position: Temporary Finance Manager

Location: Pomona, CA (Fully onsite for training, then 1 day/week remote)

Pay: $47 to $50 per hour

Experience: 5+ years of experience directing financial policies, planning and strategy, maintaining accurate accounting records, and preparing timely financial reports for management and the Board of Directors for a 6-10 week assignment.

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field is required.

Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Temporary Finance Manager to join our dynamic law firm client!

Job Description:

Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the President/CEO.

Administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes.

Update and implement necessary business and accounting practices.

Manage cash flow, perform projections, and ensure adequate cash reserves.

Oversee audit and tax functions.

Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess necessary changes.

Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters.

Responsible for accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and processing payroll.

Work as a team member with other departmental leadership.

Position Requirements:

Must have in-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.

Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and financial management software SAP.

Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting is required.

Must have an analytical mind with strategic ability, excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations, independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience working in a non-profit, open-access shelter is a plus.
