With retirement, disability, and survivors benefits, Social Security is one of the most successful anti-poverty programs in our nation's history. We are passionate about helping people by delivering financial support, providing superior customer service, and ensuring the security of people's information.

• Work in our local offices speaking with people who already receive or are applying for Social Security benefits.
• Review evidence and determine if someone is eligible for benefits.
• Interview people applying for benefits.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain our records for people receiving benefits.
• Work with the public by telephone or mail about their benefit and payment amounts.
• Research Social Security policies and regulations to resolve issues.

Most positions require a four-year degree or related experience.
