Azure Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of complex cloud infrastructure and enterprise network solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

This strategic role requires deep expertise in cloud computing, networking principles, and Azure services, along with the ability to provide technical leadership and operational direction across cloud and network architecture functions.

• Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure cloud infrastructure and enterprise network architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across network, server, and security domains to ensure alignment with infrastructure and security strategies.
• Oversee deployment of Azure services including virtual networks, compute, storage, identity management, and security.
• Design and implement business continuity strategies to ensure high availability and data integrity.

• Continuously assess and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and automation practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Facilitate team response to high-severity production issues and coordinate with impacted teams and vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships including selection, contracting, and performance monitoring.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture review boards to ensure adherence to standards.
• Plan and maintain adequate staffing, enhance productivity, and achieve objectives within budget.

• Identify risks and vulnerabilities in cloud architecture and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and data privacy teams to ensure compliance with security best practices and regulations.
• Incorporate cloud governance principles into IT policies and procedures.
• Define continuous learning programs for team members to stay current with evolving cloud and networking technologies.
• Promote a culture of innovation and ongoing skill development.

• 10+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, or networking.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams in IT organizations or consulting firms.
• 3+ years in Azure architecture development, implementation, and maintenance.
• Strong proficiency in Azure services (Virtual Machines, Azure AD/Entra , Networking, Storage, App Services, Security Center).
• Experience with Azure identity management and RBAC.
• Expertise in Azure monitoring tools (Log Analytics Workspace, Application Insights, Azure Monitor).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts (routing, switching, VPNs, VNETs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers).
• Solid knowledge of security best practices within Azure.
• Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and backup solutions.
