Responsibilities
  • Communicate with PMOs, Leads/Supervisors, and Engineers.
  • Responsible for set‑ups / changeovers of simple and complex mold bases and modules according to set‑up guidelines.
  • Set‑up vision system and part handling robots by changing end‑of‑arm tools.
  • Ability to select, upload, and download qualified molding program.
  • Perform first‑article inspection of molded parts using a microscope.
  • Ability to analyze part defects and make process adjustments as needed.
  • Submit molds to get cleaned by in‑house tool room based on shot count.
  • Ability to clean barrel and screw of injection molding machine.
  • Responsible for cleaning and performing advanced troubleshooting of molds.
  • Responsible for purging and switching of materials.
  • Keep tool carts organized with necessary tools to perform set‑ups.
  • Read and interpret technical documents including 2D blueprint drawings.
  • Operate overhead crane to move molds to desired location.
  • Clean and maintain work areas through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S.
  • Abide by defined plant and department safety policies, including personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct detailed quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for junior operators and trainees.
  • Lead the development and implementation of process improvements.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the production team.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of production schedules.
  • Work closely with management to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Job Requirements
  • HS Diploma/GED and 4 years of related work experience (injection molding or similar manufacturing environment) or 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent communication in English (Reading, writing, and verbal) and teamwork skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and eyesight required.
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to read and interpret two‑dimensional engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient time management/sense of urgency.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior operators.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
Abilities
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidelines set forth by the area Lead/Supervisor.
  • Excellent knowledge of weight scales, measurements and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and utilize computer for database applications.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time as required by the work schedule.
  • Train and mentor junior operators.
