Position Summary
This is a journeyperson level position. Under the general supervision of the Machine Shop Lead and/or the Manufacturing Supervisor, the General Machinist III sets up and operates computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery and conventional (manually operated) machines that mills, punches, drills, broaches or reams metal and or plastic parts. Make adjustments to adhere to established specifications. Monitor work to ensure that machine is not malfunctioning.
Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances and operation sequence. The General Machinist III plans and executes assignments using machine tools including boring tools, calipers, drilling machines, grinding machines, lathes, milling cutters, and workshop presses.
- Pay Range: $22-28 (pay rate determined on education, experience, testing results, and skill level)
- Shift: M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm
