Inventory & Materials Control Associate in Pomona, CA

Overtime: Paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40

Job Summary

The Inventory & Materials Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, resolving inventory discrepancies, and processing rejected, expired, short-dated, returned, and quarantined materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while complying with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit inventory to ensure system accuracy and balance
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies during daily order processing
  • Process rejected, expired, short-dated, and returned products
  • Support Quality and Manufacturing teams with materials being destroyed, reworked, or quarantined
  • Resolve orders placed on hold due to inventory status issues
  • Handle materials requiring destruction, rework, or quarantine in accordance with procedures
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service to resolve issues and support refunds
  • Perform product decontamination and proper disposal of materials
  • Safely handle biohazardous materials following established safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records within inventory systems
  • Perform significant computer-based work across multiple systems
Qualifications & Experience
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in inventory control, materials handling, or a related role
  • Strong computer skills and ability to navigate inventory or ERP systems
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
Additional Requirements
  • Comfortable handling biohazardous materials and product disposal
  • Ability to follow quality, safety, and regulatory procedures

    Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
