American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and stroke patient experience, with floating to tele required.

• Primarily scheduled on MS 4 or 5 unit with required competency to float to Telemetry
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• Telemetry work setting requiring cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management required

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2 years of MS/Tele experience required, with stroke patient experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Previous MS experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Conscious sedation/vent experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered with strong experience
• DOB, RTO, valid state license, certifications, references, and COVID vaccination status required for consideration

• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response care with ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted, with no blocked scheduling approved
• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos covered, no visible body piercings other than earlobe earrings (no hoops), no facial or nose rings
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-6 hours depending on specialty
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
