American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring a CA RN license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

• Work in the Trauma ICU of a Level II Trauma Center, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to any ICU/TELE units based on facility need
• Uses Cerner charting system

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and managing respiratory/thoracic cases required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Experience with neurological care and ICP monitoring required
• Level I and II Trauma experience preferred

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients, including ventilator management and sedation monitoring
• Strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than small earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted
• Previous facility staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Up to 2 days of RTO and 1 approved holiday off during the assignment
