Become a Remediation Management - Technical Specification, Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be part of the Remediation Management team within Transmission & Distribution and will be supporting compliance notification progression throughout the IPSEC workflow from initiation through close-out. This position will be highly visible and integral in the successful completion of our overall compliance remediation strategy.

Focus of Role:

  • Support the execution target by ensuring Compliance Notification work moves through the IPSEC workflow by the compliance due date contributing to public safety, mitigating risk for the public and the company.
  • Utilize and analyze output from dashboards, trackers, and systems of record to monitor, track, and report on progression of work.
  • Collaborate in the development of processes and procedures supporting the workflow.
  • Interface with operational stakeholders to move compliance work forward by removing obstacles, addressing escalated issues, and providing guidance on resolution.
  • Decipher notification problem statements to determine resource needs.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders in the compliance remediations space; communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide updates on progress, and address any concerns they may have.
  • Identify risk, anticipate challenges, and develop contingency plans to ensure notifications stay on track.
  • Address and resolve issues that arise, and be proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions to keep notifications moving forward.
  • Serve as a liaison to communicate Remediation Management business requirements for dashboard creation, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, continue to improve how we present/display/manage compliance work to better drive performance.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to define data requirements and translates business questions into analytical queries
  • Develops new processes with the goals of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in workflow, and meeting or exceeding key operational performance targets
  • Updates and revises technical manuals based on policies and procedures, manufacturer information, industry standards and best practices
  • Provides input into the definition and documentation of the technical delivery policy, process, standards and documentation templates, collaborating with the product development team on product design and upgrades
  • Supports substation in creating goals for bill of material processing, setting monthly targets with support from transmission and distribution
  • Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems
  • Communicates status of projects and studies, assists with planning and scheduling, and ensures alignment of communications initiatives to meet business unit goals and overall strategy, including consistency in tone, message, and approach
  • Conducts data analysis to develop insights and identify trends from large datasets regarding substation package intake and processing
  • Lead major projects that have major financial or operational impact to the operating unit and/or company
  • Performs in-depth analysis, develops recommendations, and provides consulting to address customer and/or Company problems/issues which cross organizational boundaries and require thorough technical knowledge to resolve
