Diesel Technician

Overview

Clarke Vehicare is seeking a Diesel Technician / Fleet Mechanic to maintain trucks for a popular beverage distributor. The role offers competitive hourly pay, full benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

• Use smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology to record all repairs.
• Repair and maintain customer vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Perform PMI’s on tractors, trailers, and other diesel‑powered equipment.
• Conduct all types of engine, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairs and test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
• Work independently and assist other technicians as needed.
• Utilize major shop tools and diagnostic equipment provided.

• Move frequently, stand, walk, and sit throughout the shift.
• Use hands to touch, handle, and reach with arms.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Read and write repair reports.
• Implement and enforce health and safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• 2+ years of related repair experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Diesel program certificate or degree from a technical school is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid CDL is a plus;
  Clarke Vehicar will pay for CDL exam fees.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
