Job Details

We’re seeking a results-driven Corporate Transportation Manager to lead the strategy, development, and daily operations of a multi-location transportation network. This individual will oversee all aspects of fleet operations, including safety, compliance, equipment, personnel, and cost management to ensure efficiency, profitability, and superior customer service.

The ideal candidate is an experienced transportation leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at optimizing logistics systems, and inspires teams to deliver operational excellence across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement transportation strategies that optimize routing, capacity utilization, and service levels while minimizing costs.

Operational Leadership:
Oversee scheduling, routing, dispatching, and fleet maintenance to ensure all vehicles operate safely, legally, and efficiently.

Team Development:
Recruit, train, and lead transportation personnel, including supervisors and drivers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Cost & Contract Management:
Negotiate and manage vendor and carrier contracts, ensuring competitive rates and high-quality service delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to align transportation activities with company objectives and customer commitments.

Performance Optimization:
Monitor KPIs, service levels, and budgets to identify inefficiencies, resolve issues, and implement process improvements.

Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all operations meet federal, state, and local transportation regulations and promote a strong safety culture through training and audits.

Customer & Vendor Relations:
Act as a primary point of contact for clients and third-party partners to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
7+ years of experience in transportation or logistics management, with multi-site or corporate-level oversight
Proven success in leading large teams and managing P&L or departmental budgets
Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other transportation regulations
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet maintenance software
