We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer / Chief Engineer to join our Pompano Beach office. This role is ideal for a senior‑level professional who is passionate about technical excellence in land development and water resources. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical advisor, providing leadership and guidance on complex projects while mentoring engineering staff and supporting strategic growth.
Whatyou'll do
- Act as senior technical advisor on complex land development and water resources projects
- Provide high‑level design expertise, review, and technical oversight to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance
- Lead and support project teams through planning, design, permitting, and delivery phases
- Mentor and guide engineering staff, fostering professional development and technical growth
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure innovative, cost‑effective, and sustainable solutions
- Serve as a trusted resource for technical problem‑solving and decision‑making within the firm
- Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals, presentations, and client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida
- Progressive engineering experience, with strong expertise in land development and water resources
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to easily build strong relationships
- Proven track record of delivering complex, high‑value projects
