Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Location: John Knox Village, Pompano Beach CCRC

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Department: Quality Care Rehab

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute therapeutic plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist, teaching patients how to use adaptive equipment, guiding them through exercises, and engaging them in activities crucial to their recovery.
  • Contribute to planning and selecting therapeutic activities tailored to each patient's needs and interests, applying creative and practical approaches to meet therapeutic goals.
  • Monitor and document patient progress regularly, observe changes, report observations to the occupational therapist, and adjust interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Educate patients and families about the therapy process, adaptive equipment use, and home modifications, providing clear instructions and support to continue therapeutic practices at home.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice
