- – 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM
Seeking an experienced Histotechnologist to support critical lab functions involving the preparation and processing of tissue slides for microscopic evaluation. The ideal candidate has a solid background in histology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a regulated laboratory setting.
Responsibilities- Accession and label tissue samples
- Embed processed tissue in paraffin and perform microtomy
- Prepare slides with H&E staining and cover slips (manual or automated)
- Conduct special stains and IHC procedures (as applicable)
- Prepare and validate reagents and control materials
- Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Train and guide junior staff, students, and lab aides
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal QA standards
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and documentation
- Previous histotech background
- Experience with embedding and microtomy
- IHC staining and special stain procedures
- ASCP HT Certification
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field
- Strong histology lab technique and quality control compliance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks during shift operations
- Familiarity with regulated lab environments and documentation protocols
- High attention to detail
- Effective communication and training ability
