Overview
Join to apply for the Front Desk Agent role at MCR Hotels. Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach Central.
Responsibilities- Check-in/Check-out: ensure guests are checked in/out in a timely manner; contact guests after check-in to ensure their room is satisfactory and there is nothing else required to make their stay more comfortable.
- Guest Relations: greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile; use guests’ names whenever possible.
- Guest Satisfaction: all team members work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores.
- Recovery: handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
- Hotel Knowledge: have strong knowledge of all features of the hotel facility and amenities.
- Events: be aware of and support all groups and events at the hotel.
- Technology: understand relevant technology for the role.
- Phone Etiquette: answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
- Spotless Cleanliness and Organization: keep front and back-of-house areas clean and well-organized; pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
- Product Consistency & Quality: follow checklists accurately and ensure 100% accuracy; complete shift handover reports on time.
- Uniform and Professionalism: wear a clean, approved uniform; be well-groomed and wear a nametag while greeting guests with a smile.
- Teamwork & Communication: communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally; be willing to go beyond traditional duties to meet guest and business needs.
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pace and pressure.
- Effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Hospitality and guest service mindset.
- Age 18 years or older.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctual clock-in/clock-out; break adherence; notify supervisor when calling out.
- Physical ability to stand, type, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the hotel.
- English language proficiency for reading, writing, and communication.
