As a Dining Room Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience by providing efficient and friendly service. You will assist with setting up dining areas, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a high-quality dining environment while growing within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Guest Service
:
Greet and assist guests as they arrive in the dining room, providing them with menus and ensuring they are seated comfortably. - Table Setting
:
Ensure that tables are properly set with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and condiments according to restaurant standards. - Meal Service
:
Assist waitstaff with food and drink delivery to guests, ensuring timely and accurate service. - Cleanliness
:
Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables, vacuuming, and tidying up throughout the shift. - Communication
:
Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. - Customer Assistance
:
Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items and help accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions. - Stocking
:
Assist with replenishing supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and beverage stations. - Safety and Hygiene
:
Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and food handling standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
