• Pay Rate: $19.00/Hour and it is paid on the weekly basis.
• The medical waste Yard Hostler (Non-CDL) will be required to learn the Plant Associate position as well as and will spend 50% of the working time by performing these duties: loading/unloading trucks, assisting with truck sanitation, moving/spotting trucks, separate and stage incoming medical waste, and other tasks.
• Daily uniforms and working boots are provided free of charge by the company.
• Work Schedule:
  Monday ~ Friday. This is a FIRST SHIFT position and starts from 10:00am to 6:30pm. Overtime (OT) is offered based on business needs and is paid time and-a-half. Also, the Yard Hostler will be asked to work a Saturday from time‑to‑time with an advance notice from supervisor.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record (MVR).

A Yard Hostler-NonCDL is a job responsibility assigned to an Operations Team Member that is in a non-driving position. The Yard Hostler assists in moving and spotting equipment required to facilitate the needs of terminals/warehouses in organizing and processing material for shipment, storage or destruction. The responsibilities include trailer sanitation, moving equipment, and conducting daily inspections and/or is responsible for timely movements and thorough knowledge of on‑hand inventory and positioning.
A Yard Hostler may be assigned to organize vehicles within a Stericycle yard to ensure they are ready for unloading, loading, and transport. The Stericycle yard is described as an enclosed property boundary that surrounds our buildings. A Yard Hostler can only operate a vehicle inside company property.
The Yard Hostler will perform standard Plant Associate job duties as required.

• Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up. Reports any maintenance problems to Transportation/Dispatcher for follow-up
• Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage
• Perform all Plant Associate job duties as assigned

Preferred Education:

in High School or Equivalent

• Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location

• Stericycle welcomes non-native English speakers, as long as drivers can read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records as required by federal regulation
