DPD is one of the largest Catholic Charities agencies providing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the United States. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Group Homes.
Regular Salary: $20.06 per hour Mon‑Fri; $21.06 per hour for shifts beginning 11 PM Friday to 11 PM Sunday. Non‑work time will be paid at the base rate.
Responsibilities- Residential Counselor: direct care professional whose primary responsibility is to help meet the personal health, safety and welfare of residents.
- Assist and/or supervise individuals in personal care areas such as bathing and toileting; participate and/or supervise in cleaning, cooking, and life‑skills activities.
- Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, co‑workers and residents.
- Drive residents to and from day programs, outside or within the community using agency vehicles.
- Maintain daily documentation of services provided.
- Assist with community‑based activities that promote fun and engagement.

- Experience with /DD populations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid (non‑provisional) driver’s license.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures.
Full‑time schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday 3 PM–11 PM. This position requires a commitment to the full‑time schedule and duties.
All offers of employment are contingent on successful completion of our criminal background/references/DMV check, fingerprinting, pre‑employment physical and drug test, etc. All staff must attend a monthly staff meeting—date/time will be determined and announced in advance. Meeting waivers are provided for conflicts due to secondary employment or school with appropriate documentation.
