Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist (PT, DPT, RPT) in Home Health assesses and evaluates patient needs related to mobility, endurance, pain, and medical conditions. Based on this, the therapist develops a treatment plan, performs interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitors progress.
- Evaluate the patient's functional status and therapy needs, assisting physicians in developing the plan of care.
- Monitor and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, restore or develop function, and maintain maximum functioning according to standards of practice.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members about the care plan, limitations, and progress.
Education and Experience
Licensure Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy license in Oklahoma
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
