The primary purpose of the Maintenance Manager is to oversee the development and implementation of maintenance practices to efficiently maintain the operation of the plant equipment, grounds, building, and production processes.

• Develop the layout of plant processing lines to facilitate changes or additions to plant operations.
• Coordinate the planning and construction of plant additions or modifications.
• Ensure that all safety and regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times, maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Provide the Engineering Department personnel with all tools necessary to maintain the facility and processes in a sustaining manner, including knowledge, training, and equipment.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of the capital and expense budget projects.
• Maintain a working relationship with outside contractors and vendors to ensure that new work proceeds efficiently.
• Address day‑to‑day operational issues constructively and orderly, communicating openly with senior management.
• Lead and direct direct reports to operate closely and cohesively with other departments within the facility.

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electrical and mechanical fields.
• Five years of management experience in a manufacturing environment within the protein or similar industry.
• Experience with ammonia, refrigeration, and protein processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly.
• Self‑starter who works well with people at all levels inside and outside the plant.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration principles and applications.
• Computer literacy, with basic skills in Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Understanding of CAD capabilities and PLC equipment usage.
