Accounting Analyst

Job Description

Vaco is hiring an Accounting Analyst for a direct hire opportunity in Ponte Vedra, Florida. This position is fully onsite. It is part of a professional Accounting team and reports directly to the Accounting Manager. The accounting analyst is responsible for financial accounting and reporting. Netsuite will be used to compile, analyze, verify, review, and prepare financial transactions.

• Enter & review all invoices for appropriate documentation, proper coding and approval prior to payment.
• Manage 250-500 invoices per month.
• Prioritize invoices according to payment terms, process check requests and respond to all vendor inquiries.
• Assist in month‑end closing process and prepare assigned journal entries.
• Assist in balance sheet reconciliation and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Assist with annual 1099 reporting process.
• Assist with annual financial audit by providing documentation as requested.
• Perform other duties as required by reporting manager.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Exposure to Netsuite Financial, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or Dynamics AX preferred.

• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of business functions and accounting mechanics.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with above‑average math, analytical and reasoning ability.
• Positive attitude and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
• Hands‑on, self‑directed and process‑oriented.
• Team player comfortable working with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of clerical accuracy.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. As required by local law where salary range disclosure is mandatory, the salary range for the role is noted in this posting.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
