The Golf Hospitality Attendant is responsible for keeping the locker room clean, neat, and orderly. Cleans and shines shoes; provides service to members and guests for towels and various locker room needs. Orders supplies as needed and provides food & beverage service. Evaluated on quality and quantity of work performed, attendance and punctuality records, courtesy towards members, relations with other employees, reliability, as well as compliance with all Sawgrass Country Club policies, including dress and grooming code, and where applicable, safety, sanitation, and security procedures and guidelines.
Minimum age requirement: 21
DUTIES- Order locker room supplies as needed.
- Advise Facility Maintenance of any locker room issues.
- Assign lockers and manage usage lists and keys.
- Keep locker room neat and clean; inspect all areas frequently throughout the day.
- Open locker rooms and prepare for day.
- Assure that coffee and condiments are ready upon opening; replenish all as needed.
- Wash and dry towels in cart barn. Place bath towels and hand towels in appropriate areas, and ensure back inventory is clean and available.
- Greeting members and guests upon arrival and ask if any help is needed.
- Clean and polish golf and street shoes.
- Charge for services rendered through golf shop staff.
- Assure that shoes are left in the correct area so they can be picked up later.
- Keep toiletries replenished in locker rooms.
- Assist administrative staff with duties during slow periods such as envelope stuffing.
- Serves meals & drinks, places dishes in front of each person.
- Removes soiled dishes.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Utilizes digital system to input orders and transmit to the kitchen.
- Assembles of food on trays ensure proper condiments and side dishes are provided.
- Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
- Retrieve ice for station and wells.
- Prepare garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
- Polish silverware and glassware.
- Properly ring in food and drink orders.
- Replenishes water, drinks, etc. as necessary.
- Make sure everything is clean for the Members' arrival.
- Delivering beverage orders in a timely fashion.
- Complete proper computation of member bills.
- Follow proper procedures for cleaning and sanitizing.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Do not leave the area for any long period of time.
- Some knowledge and understanding of golf; ability to converse about golf
- Prior work in customer service and shoe cleaning and polishing
- Ability to work in quiet atmosphere
- Outgoing personality
- High School education
- Possess knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits
